ABOUT

Roxy Valle

​Founder, Filmmaker, Screenwriter, and Photographer 

Roxanne Valle, mostly known as “Roxy”, was born in Montclair, CA and raised to a Guatemalan/ Nicaraguan family in Chino, CA. Coming from a lower middle class family where she lived with 3 sisters, in a dangerous neighborhood, whose parents  were native New Yorkers from Jamaica Queens, Roxy was brought up in a creative, artistic, open minded environment where self- expression through writing, music, and dance was encouraged in her family household. While studying music engineering at Mt. SAC at the age of 20, she was introduced to her first camera, a Canon Rebel XTi by a family friend and instantly fell in love with photography and film.

  • Her photography have been published online as editorials and advertisment for local clothing companies such as, Drunks United and Royalty Eight.

  • She has worked as a cinematographer in over 15 films such as, MT.SAC Film Festival Winners , "Golf Shop Glory" â€‹(2013)," A Military Mind" (2014), and "Let's Talk".

  • Has written and directed four of her own short films and music videos such as, "The Adventures of NADA:HOME ALONE DIARIES", "ME", and "Melies". She is in the process of writing her first ever full feature script called ,"Rhiannon". 

 

In January 3rd 2013, she decided to develop her own photography company called Roxy V. Photography which showed her own personal pieces of art work on display. As she fell more in love with the filmmaking aspect of movies, she decided to expand her brand by adding film production and media into the foreground; renaming it Flapper Girl Entertainment, after her deep love for the 1920's flappers and their lifetsyle.

  • In the Spring of 2014, she became a Videography/ Social Media Intern for iHeart Media, formerly known as Clear Channel Entertainment +Media, and their radio station in Riverside, 99.1 KGGI.  While working there, she filmed and edited promos, concert events, and interviews for the station's website and has worked with famous musicians such as,  Sage the Gemini, DMAC, SOMO, ODM from 90's rap group, A Lighter Shade of Brown, Los 5, MYA, Mobb Deep, and Far East Movement.

  • Summer of 2015, she joined the set of the TBUFF festival Best Horror Film 2016 by Woodall Films called  Tallow in which she worked as a Camera Operator, Lighting Assistant, and Production Assistant. 

  • She signed on to being a Camera Operator for a indie Documentary film called The Process, about Sabrina White, one of the ambassadors for the LA Sparks of  the WNBA. 

  • In October of 2015, she reunited with iHeart Media as their freelance Videographer for their radio station, 99.1 KGGI where she films station events, artist performances and interviews, and promotional videos for DJS.

  • Written over 10 screenplays (both short and full feature films) and a 45 minute sitcom Pilot episode thats have been recognized as successful, innovative, and original by her professors and colleagues.

  • She has been a part of festival winning and semi finalist films such as TALLOW (TBUFF festival Best Horror Film 2016) and her self written, produced, and directed  short film, Melies (Los Angeles Cinefest 2017)

 

She is currently in a partnership with media companies, iHeart Media, GC Masterpiece, and Cinematic Edge as a Photographer, Videographer, and Editor, and she is in the process of tranfering to Cal State University, Los Angeles to get her B.A. in Film and Television Production in hopes of becoming a Film Director/Screenwriter and Film Professor.
